Key Point: This journal (2 literature reviews) is basically saying there is no proof yet of Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections helping speed recovery.

More medical physicians are giving PRP(Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections to speed healing for muscle, tendon, joint injuries.

As some of you already know PRP is a procedure when blood platelets are extracted from your own blood by centrifuging (high speed spinning machine) whole blood. This makes platelet concentration higher than that of your whole blood and contains numerous growth factors.  Now this new blood solution is re-injected into the injured tissue.
